    Hi,

We have a problem with iOS devices randomly once every 30 minutes or so dropping their connection for about 30 seconds.

They are not loosing IP-adress or radio signal but they are not able to reach any webpage during this time.

The problem does not seem to affect laptops or android devices as far as our tests has been able to reveal so far. It is isolated to all models of iPhone 4 to 7 and every version of iOS.

Yesterday we upgraded the IAP:s to version 6.5.1.0 but it did not make any difference unfortunately.

It feels like it could be a glitch in the DNS server couse it has not been confirmed with ping yet.

But, the SSID is using Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and since it does not affect windows and android clients it has to be something else?

Anyone recognizing this problem or anything similiar to this?

What is the exact version of instant?

Is that SSID encrypted?  If so, what kind of encryption?

How many IAPs do you have and how long have you been having this problem?

Does the user have "Broadcast Filtering" on all of his SSIDs?

It was unchecked, but as part of the troubleshooting we activated it a couple of weeks ago, does not seem to have made any impact so far.

    Thank you

What is the transit power of your access points?

    Hi,

Transit power is set to Min: 9, Max: Max

That range is too large.  The range should be no more than 6 between min and max.  You should make the max 15.  Too much power or asymetrical power can cause pauses and roaming issues like you have observed.

It may not help 100% but having the AP power at maximum causes sticky clients and disconnects.
