    Dear All,

Here are the standard configuration procedures of P2P Mesh Portal/Point setup with IAP-277 on Aruba Instant 6.4.3.4-4.2.1 User Guide.

    [Setting up Instant Mesh Network]
Starting from Instant 6.4.0.2-4.1 release, mesh functionality is disabled by default, because of which over-the air provisioning of mesh IAPs is not supported.
To provision IAPs as mesh IAPs:
    1. Connect the IAPs to a wired switch.
    2. Ensure that the Virtual Controller key is synchronized and the country code is configured.
    3. Ensure that a valid SSID is configured on the IAP.
    4. If the IAP has a factory default SSID (instant SSID), delete the SSID.
    5. If an extended SSID is enabled on the virtual controller, disable it and reboot the IAP cluster.
    6. Disconnect the IAPs that you want to deploy as mesh points from the switch and place the IAPs at a remote location. The IAPs power on without any wired uplink connection and function as mesh points and the IAPs with valid uplink connections function as the mesh portal.

Is it possible skip the 1. and 2. procedures to get Mesh point-to-point?

or any alternative methord with the 1. and 2. procedures to get it?

    Regards,

    Moon-Kee Bahk.

There is not, they must first be connected to the same switch to build the cluster so that the mesh cluster ID can be created. What is the issue?

    Dear All,

one AP of P2P Mesh was failed, only I will remove the confuration of failed AP and resync to Orignal working AP. Is it possible?

Is it impossible, I have to remove working AP's configuration and failed AP's configuration both and resync again. Is is correct?

    Regards,

    Moon-Kee Bahk.

Which AP failed? Easiest way is to bring the new one to the side of the working side, sync them up, verify the configs are correct for each side, and then take it back to the other side to install.
