IAP Cluster size when user & management VLAN is the same

Hi All,

I'm aware that when deploying IAPs that it's recommended to use a separate VLAN for AP management. If you're unable to do this and must use the same VLAN for user & AP management traffic, does this affect the max concurrent users & max cluster size significantly?

Are there any numbers on this?

Cheers

James

I'm sure it does - but can't give you any actual data to support my thoughts.

I used to have three iAP on my home network, and packet-collisions when my kids were gaming occasionally broke VC to slave communication and I'd see the iAP argue over control. Moved to a better switch where I could break out the VLANs and haven't had the issue since.
