IAP External Captive Portal Logout URL

    We are using an external captive portal page. Login works if we post the creditentials to 

     

    http://securelogin.arubanetworks.com/cgi-bin/login

     

    But we would also like to provide a logout link on the splash page.

     

    What is the logout link?

    Hi,

     

    "securelogin.arubaneworks.com" is an internal CP login page. you need to provide the URL for the external page.

     

    Please feel free for any further help on this.

    I need the internal logout URL. Everything is working fine but people cannot log out! How can they log out? I need to put the logout link on the splash page.

    It is slated for the upcoming instant 4.2.0 release.  It is due out soon.

    So currently its not possible for customers to log out from the hotspot?

     

    Could you please let me know the URL of the logout that can we use after the OS update?

    It is not possible to manually do it in the current release.  When a user is disconnected is managed by the inactivity timeout:

    Theoretically, the URL should be:

     

    https://securelogin.arubanetworks.com/auth/logout.html

     

    That matches what is on the controller.  Since 4.2 is not released yet, it is not known if that will change before then.

    Did you find a solution?

     

    I'm experiencing more or less the same problem: I'm not able to perform the logout from the external portal page even if we have an html button (a submit form) which point to the suggest URL:

     

    https://securelogin.arubanetworks.com/auth/logout.html

     

    I can reach the logout.html page but the AP does not perform the logout (it does not send the RADIUS Acct-Stop message and the wifi client can continue to reach Internet).

     

    I'm using one AP 105 in Instant mode; the firmware is the latest:

    Build date: 2019-03-10 20:32:06 PDT
    Version: 6.4.4.8-4.2.4.13_69505

    I've seen that the suggested logout URL was posted 4 years ago; maybe something is changed in the exposed API?
