IAP Terminination with Microsoft NPS

    Hey all,

     

    I wanted to get some opinions on whether people use termination on their NPS servers with IAPs.

     

    I get that if you terminate on the IAP, it's going to present the IAP's certificate, difficulty of certificate management with multiple virtual controllers seems to be the biggest disadvantage to this method.

     

    Termination is supposed to be faster, but is that benefit still significant today?

    The recommendation for both controller and Instant is to terminate on your
    RADIUS server.

    We got ours working witn NPS on 2012 R2 but it was a real pain. The only documentation on this site seems to be some user-created documentation for 2008 R2 but I couldn't get the equivalent to work in 2012 R2.
