    Is it possible to confgure a standalone IAP-135 for a site survey using a battery POE pack without a uplink?  Is the only option to cart around a midspan power injector with a laptop or small switch?  What are the recommended steps to configure the IAP-135?

    You can try setting the "Can be used without uplink" setting under the SSID (3.3 and higher).

     

    You may need to convert the IAP to a Standalone AP to make this work.    Maintenance --> Convert --> Standalone AP.   If you do this, you may also need to set the uplink to Ethernet under Settings --> Uplink --> Uplink Preference.     Set the network up before converting it.

    yes you can have a iap to use it as site survey...
