    Hi All

    if I power on the IAP without connecting Ethernet cable then it is not advertising instant SSID..however if I connect the Ethernet port on the IAP to the L2 switch then it is advertising SSID..

    is it normal behavior? is it mandatory that we should have Ethernet port up for advertising instant SSID?

    You need enable "can be use without uplink"

    It looks like the feature was re-named in the GUI but not in the CLI in v.4.1.  I'm not sure if this was an accident or intentional but I will follow up with engineering.

     

    If you are running v.4.1 (current) look for and enable "Disable SSID on link Failure" option in the GUI.
