Instant SSIDs not active

    hi,

    i have a number of working SSIDs in my Instant cluster. recently, we have tried adding a few new SSIDs & none of them are working. after some digging, i noticed that although disable is unchecked, these SSIDs still show "no" under Active status.

    i cant find on these forums or elsewhere a way to change their active status to "yes".

    any advice would be much appreciated.

    What model IAP?

    What regulatory domain?

    What version of Instant software?

    i have iap 105s, in USA.

    Instant version is 6.4.4.8-4.2.4.6_58505

    I don't see a problem with your combination of code, domain or IAP model.

    As i wrote in the original post, the SSIDs are showing up as "enabled" but "active" is still showing as "no".

    the above post wont help me. i already tried disabling & reenabling but status still stays as not active.

    By default SSIDs should not be disabled except maybe for regulatory reasons.  Is this a US IAP or a ROW or IL IAP?

    Did your IAPs even broadcast the instant SSID?

    I have a number of SSIDs broadcasting properly.

    these are US IAPs.

    When i first setup the system a few years ago, the instant SSID was broadcast.

    Just to put the solution out. i ended up contacting support & after they looked into it further, my model (IAP105) only supports 6 SSIDs. We had to delete a few SSIDs & enable "Extended SSID" to allow 8 SSIDs.

    once we got that properly set, my new SSIDs became active.

     

    Hope this will help anyone else that runs into this issue.
