    Hi there,

I am using IAP 105 and would like to buy IAP 205 and a controller; will these all work together.

    Thanks

    Hi .

It is possible to bring up the cluster with 105 and 205 but should update the Image manually or through Airwave because they have different hardware . IAP 105 is Orion and IAP 205 is Taurus.

Please feel free for any further query on this.

Both of those AP's can be connected to the same controller, but you wouldn't want them to be in the same RF domain. The AP105 is 802.11n, and the AP205 is 802.11ac.

If you create a situation where clients routinely roam between .11n and .11ac, unexpected behavior can result. If these two AP's will be in distinct areas, such as different floors (where roaming from one AP to the other is not a requirement) then you should be okay.
