I am trying to setup an external splash page that is hosted on one of my internal servers. And we are getting the message "Enter a valid url" when trying to put in the pages URL.

    URL is this: http://172.23.35.50:8087/GuestWirelessSplashPage

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?  Also we are not sure what the process will be for this page in terms of accepting terms before getting network access. Do we need to create an accept button on the page that links to something? I have attached screen shot so that you can see what I am looking at.

add the IP and then add this part /GuestWirelessSplashPage.php in the URL

Does it have to be PHP or can it be plain HTML?  Also how does the accept process work with an external page?

Yes you can , just make sure you can reach it .

Also you can add 443 if your host server supports it.

How do users accept the terms I have on the page and get access to the network?   I can get to the page when joining the guest network but therre is no way to proceed throught it.

I appreciate the link but this looks like its a work around and not the best way to do it. The solution suggested is over a year old now and I would think that there has to be a proper way to do this.

    Your best options :
    - use the IAP internal page (limited in terms of what you can do)
    - use ClearPass Guest which more flexibility and control over what you can do with captive portal.
