    hi,

I'm going to configure a mesh link with 3 IAP 275 and I Have some question:

    1. What is the average distance between two IAP (in open area).

2.Can an IAP configured as a mesh point, bridge the signal to another IAP (another mesh point).

    Hi!

From what I´ve heard the functionality should be available in Instant OS 4.2. Anyone have information about when it will be available?

Any updates? I choose Aruba radios over Ruckus because of their ability to be controller-less. Ruckus radios are mesh capable but with a controller.

Mesh is currently available on the controller platform. Controllerless (Instant) is expected to be available by the end of June. Please contact your Aruba rep for more info.

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi,

I logged a call to Aruba TAC to see when the wireless mesh fuction will available for the IAP-2xx series. From memory it was July. I had access to the beta and can confirm i have 2 x IAP-274s wirelessly meshed and working very well.

are you using them strickly as a mesh backhaul or are you also using them as client coverage?

Nice. I am designing a large outdoor property with three IAP-275s, but need a bridge between two buildings.  Once these come in I will see what I can setup as far as the bridge/client coverage combination to confirm before implementation.  But for this design I will do what I know and put a separate PtP bridge in.

    Hi ,

if you  want to do the mesh with AP 275 , you must use the ArubaOS 6.4.3.1 (or later).

it is  sweteble to put the backhaul in the 5 Ghz Band .

you can edit the Mesh Parameter in The APgroup>mesh.

then you can provisione the AP with it's mesh role.

    Regards
