I recall that when I was testing my first two IAP-105s, I questioned based on the Instant User Guide whether they should support uplink. I could not find an "eth1" port on the back and so tried enabling uplink on the AP and using the "console" port for the uplink.
Of course it didn't work and my VAR Aruba SE responded to my question that the AP-105 does not support uplink and that the Instant User Guide does not make that excruciatingly explicit and clear. APs with two ethernet ports are labeled "eth0" and "eth1".
IAP-105 has two ports labeled "console" and "enet"
I wonder if I had mistakently left uplink enabled on that AP if it would have showed as "point" and what other side effects that might have caused.
The AP I would have done this with WAS the AP I just replaced when I had the network rebooting incident.
Also, I would like answer on the "from port" = "bond0". What does this mean?
After replacing that AP, all show "mesh role" = "portal" and "from port" = "none".
All fourteen of these APs are connected to switch on same layer 2 subnet and VLAN.
