Hello all,

I'm new to the boards and have some questions regarding Aruba Instant's captive portal capabilities.

Specifically, I'm interested in setting up multiple captive portal installations that support the follow authentication methods:

1. Terms of Service - user checks the checkbox accepting the TOS and hits submit button
2. Basic text input - user enters name
3. Shared Keyword - user enters common password (given out by establishment)
4. Sign up - user creates account, uses account credentials to connect
5. Sign up w/Email confirmation - user enters email address, passowrd emailed to user
6. Sign up w/SMS confirmation - user enters phone number, password received through SMS
7. Paid access

Does Aruba Instant support the ability to set up these types of captive portals?

To put it simply, no you cannot do them all.  The captive portal capabilities are limited in Instant (as they are on a controller deployment).   However, most if not all of the options you have set forth can be done with ClearPass Guest (with Instant or controller-based environments).  I personally have not setup #2 and #3, but believe it can be done.  The rest are possible with CPG.

• Paid access - Not available with internal splash page -  Not available

The two type of Guest Splash pages available, there's another option to point the IAP to an external splash too.
