Show allowed-channels --> 'none'

Hello!

We are trying to install 2x IAP-115 (ROW). During installation we specified country code BY. I see that there is no allowed channels for BY:

# show ap allowed-channels BY
Allowed Channels for AP Type 115 Country Code "BY"

PHY Type                 Allowed Channels
--------                 ----------------
802.11g (indoor)         None
802.11a (indoor)         None
802.11g (outdoor)        None
802.11a (outdoor)        None
802.11g 40MHz (indoor)   None
802.11a 40MHz (indoor)   None
802.11g 40MHz (outdoor)  None
802.11a 40MHz (outdoor)  None

So no wireless networks can be seen :smileyfrustrated:

Why are the cahnnels "locked"? How can we overcome this?

Thanks in advance for any information!

/ Ruske

Re: Show allowed-channels --> 'none'

Have you confirmed with your local Aruba team that this AP is approved in your local regulatory domain?

Re: Show allowed-channels --> 'none'

tsd25108, and should we get this approval?

Can't RoW access points be used anywhere (except for US)? What restriction apply?

Re: Show allowed-channels --> 'none'

In a controlled based network the regulatory restriction is based on what country the controller is configured for. However, it is possible for an access point to not yet be approved in a specific country and be disabled.
