What is the correct dBi in RAP-155?

    Hi.

     

    I found RAP-155's dBi at Datashhet.

     
    •2.4 GHz: Two internal omni-directional antennas for 2×2 MIMO with maximum antenna gain of 3.0 dBi
    •5 GHz: Three internal omni-directional antennas for 3×3 MIMO with maximum antenna gain of 3.0 dBi

    But, it's defferent really dBi at cli.

    What is the correct dBi in RAP-155? 3.0  or 5.5 ?

    Thanks for pointing this out. I'm surprised this went unnoticed for so long.

    The numbers in the datasheet (3dBi for both bands) are correct. Software is using wrong numbers (5.5dBi in 2.4GHz and 5.0dBi in 5GHz).

    As a result the product may be transmitting too little power in some conditions (EIRP levels are adjusted for antenna gain when setting actual "conducted" levels that are used to control the radio)

    I'll work on getting this fixed ASAP.

    What software version are you running?

    I did upgraded 6.4.2.3-4.1.1.2.

     

    It's the same.

    Yes, it has been confirmed as a bug and will be fixed.

     

    I'll let you know once we know what SW versions will include the fix.
