I set up an iperf server in my datacenter and am trying to test the wired bandwidth available at my remote sites with the fairly new "speed-test" function introduced in Aruba Instant 6.4.3.4-4.2.1.0. I have the following configured and have verified bidrectional traffic with the iperf server.

    r08030-iap1 (config) # speed-test
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # server-ip 10.170.0.50
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # server-port 5001
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # sec-to-measure 5
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # include-reverse
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # protocol tcp
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # bandwidth 10
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # time-interval 60
    r08030-iap1 (speed-test) # end
    r08030-iap1# commit apply

However, when I try to show the data from the speed test I get this:

    r08030-iap1# show speed-test data

    Speed Test results :
Speed Test Error :Test data not available

I've seen the test run several times in the iperf server but still can't show any data on the IAP. What am I missing?

What version of Iperf are you running at your datacenter?

    What model IAP is it?

    It must be iperf3

    ThisIsToCheckNaming# show speed data

You've configured the relevant server settings for your iperf3 server?

    Uplink Bandwidth Monitoring

An Instant AP uses Iperf3 as a TCP or UDP client to run a speed test and measure the bandwidth on an uplink.

The results from the speed test are collated by the Instant AP and published to ALE. Speed tests can be run

only on master Instant APs. They cannot be run on slave Instant APs.

Apart from ALE, Instant APs can collate and send speed test information to Central by using Iperf3.

You may choose to configure and execute a speed test profile during boot time and additionally at specific time

intervals using the configuration mode or execute the speed test at any preferred time using the privileged

    EXEC mode in the CLI.

To configure and automatically run speed tests at specific time intervals:

    (Instant AP)(config)# speed-test

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# include-reverse

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# server-ip <server>

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# server-port <port>

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# on-boot

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# omit

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# protocol <tcp/udp>

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# parallel

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# time-interval <interval>

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# bandwidth <bandwidth>

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# sec-to-measure <secs>

    (Instant AP)(speed-test)# window

To configure and execute a speed test at any preferred time:

    (Instant AP)(config)# speed-test 10.17.144.8 tcp include-reverse sec-to-measure 10 serverport

    5201 parallel 10 omit 1 window 512

To view the speed test results:

    (Instant AP)# show speed-test data

I could not get that to work and have verified this is the controller IAP. Thanks for your help.
