aruba instant 2 ap mesh, only the master give ip

    Hi guys, first sorry for my english.

     

    My problem is: we have 2 (APIN207) ap, i would like to use them in mesh, but after i set it, only the master give ip address, if I connect to it, the authentication seems like ok, and my device waiting for ip address.

    The extended ssid is disabled, from the virtual controller I see both ap, if I can create an open ssid, but nothing changes. Anyone has any idea?

    In the SSID, set the VLAN to Virtual Controller assigned.

    Set the client VLAN assignment to default

    Thanks, it works now. But I have 2 ssids, 2 vlans, 2 dhcp scopes (wpa2 authentication for for phones, guests, only internet acces - and an radius, wich can acces the lan and the internet ). I think, I need to reconsiderat it, because in the vlan client assiggment will not work.

    What is providing dhcp, the Instant AP?

    yes, I had 2 ssids, 2 dhcp scopes, 2 vlans in the instant. It's works now with 2 ssid, without vlan, with 1 dhcp, with the rules i can configure the acces.
