how to config IAP RAP3 work with 3g dongle ?

    Hi all,

     

    I tried to test IAP RAP3 with 3g dongle (vofafone Huawei K4511) but no luck it doesn't work. it's alway showing "Linkdown"

     

    please see logs below.

    Hi.

     

    Full instructions including supported modems can be found in the Instant 6.1.3.4-3.1.0.0 user guide.    It is in Chapter 24: Uplink Configuration.

    Please open a support case.  This modem is not on the list of tested/supported so it could require some custom parameters for the RAP3.

    I have already use this 3g key with RAP (RAP5) and ArubaOS 6.x and it works !

     

    My settings (for ArubaOS):

    • Device : Other (Any)
    • TTY Device Path : ttyUSB0
    • Initialization String : AT+CGDCONT=1,’IP’,’APN’
    • Device Identifier : 0x12d114cc
    • Device Type : option
    • Modeswitch : -v 12d1 -p 14b7 -M 55534243123456780000000000000011062000000100000000000000000000
    • Dial String : ATDT*99***1#
    • Link Priority Ethernet : 10

    Replace APN by your APN Provider
