Hi I want to setup IAP network for around 80 client devices ( mobile phones) . the wlan should support  wep and wpa,wpa-2.

There are two floors and I will be providioning 2 IAP 135 on each floor ( or 3 IAP 105 per floor will be better ) ?

Also it is required that Wlan client should get different IP range than lan.. so we can define range for internal DHCP of IAP and make IP assignment for WLAN as Virtual Controller assigned.

I want know one thing how will the traffic flow e.g IAP 1 is acting as VC and providing IP addresses If a client connected to IAP -2 wants to access internal network how the traffic will go -- will it go to VC which is IAP-1 and then it will be source-natted???

Also if I want to allow internet for specific IPs do i need to consider IPs of all IAPs in the cluster???

    Hi,

    :smileytongue:

*Regarding the type and the amount of deployment ...use VisualRF in order to understand better the RF heatmap your deployment will give.

    thanks fro the reply...

    been through all these docs...

I just want  to confirm if IAP is assigning IP addresses from its internal DHCP then all traffic will get forwarded to the Virtual Controller -IAP that means It will have some impact on the performance right ???

regarding the performance - the instantAP series got some different models in order to give u the ability to service different amounts of clients. the AP105 and the AP135 both got 10/100/1000 ports... do the math.
