How can I get my pc's in my domain to authenticate

I have it all set up for user auth but when I switch it to computer only

I get the error on my radius server that the authentication failed due to a user credentials mismatch

Do you have the Machine Group: Domain Computers in your NPS/IAS policy?

Can you include a complete output of the NPS event log entry for this as well as a successful authentication for users?   Can you confirm that when using machine authentication you are hitting the same NPS Network Policy that your users are (when they are successful)?

I am just trying to get the computer to authenticate without the user

if I add a user to that nps policy then I am prompted for credentials if I put them in which are in the group that the nps points too I get on as I should

so how can I get the pc to just connect before a user logs on

If you are still having this issue, please share the NPS logs from both a successful authentication and a failed authentication.

Are you using PEAP-MSCHAPv2 or EAP-TLS?    If you are using EAP-TLS, the computer will need a certificate as well as the user.
