iPads

Hello:
Our campus has decided to issue iPads to all incoming freshman next fall (about 1300 students). While we have a few iPads on campus now (about 60), we are wondering what kinds of issues others have seen with these devices running on Aruba 125 APs, or what settings/features have been used to help them connect and perform at their best. We have for example noticed that on our AP 125 units that we are getting better coverage with our 802.11g SSID than our 802.11n SSID network, which is not as we expected.

Any feedback or advice is appreciated!

Re: iPads

Have a look at Enabling High-Performance for Apple iPads in the Enterprise on our web site at http://www.arubanetworks.com/technology/whitepapers.php
I have seen in a lot of large campus' that you have to block mDNS once you get around 3-4k users on a flat wifi network. The iPads use this to discover printers and such and is very chatty.
