- Licence: VMWare vSphere 5 Standard

- Profil d'image: HPE-ESXi-5.5.0

Please use english on the form, more people could help and learn.

Please note that clearpass 6.7.x have a disk requirement of 1TB, dont use less! Is not supported.

Thick provisioning is recommended but not required.

Also note you cant extend the disk at a later moment due of the disk is encrypted.

In an testenvironment its ok but in production your disk use will fastly grow.

Also note you indeed not change the scsi layout. The ovf template is configured with the right settings, dont edit this.

For the extended disk just keep the same settings as the first disk only the 1TB for most production setups.

Hi

Under curtain conditions it is possible to have a smaller disk. BUT you need to do regular housekeeping to make sure you don’t run out of space.
1TB is highly recommended, a smaller disk is supported by exception.

it don't think, this issue is about disk size... (and it can be complex for a customer to have 1TB...)

Re: Problème déploiement OVF Clearpass

Dear all,

Thanks for your answers!

As is it the Channel France, I posted in french but let's continue in English if it may help.

@alagoutte:

- Regarding the 2 NICs, you are right. Unfortunately, at this time the customer does not have a management vlan...

- I have checked the 6.7.0 Realease note and the ESX 5.5 is supported

@mkk and mrzero:

- I am going to try with an additional disk of 1Tb and keeping original settings unchanged.

I will update the discussion when it's done.

Regards,

Jérémy

Management is not really the good name... but you need to use only one interface (and mgmt interface on this case)

Re: Problème déploiement OVF Clearpass

Hi all,

I managed to deploy the VM just by keeping default settings unchanged... However, regarding the additional disk, I was not able (insufficient customer's disk availability) to provision 1To. As a result, I provisionned 250GO and it seems to work fine.

Finally, regarding the 2 NICs, I put them in the same subnet and I'm actually only using the management interface. It's not a clean deployment but I had to fit customer's limitations.

Thanks all for your help.
