Those of us who deal with Wi-Fi and mobile network deployments in the government sector know that it's just a little bit different than what our commercial counterparts go through. On top of the usual issues like client compatibility, RF interference, and getting a handle on an massive number of incoming devices, we also have to deal with certifications (FIPS, Common Criteria), STIG compliance, DIACAP approval, TAA compliance, and locked down security settings. Where our commercial counterparts have the flexibility to change a system configuration or design, the same change on the government side could involve a two-month approval process. This forum has been set up as a way to exchange ideas, ask questions, and get answers. Our Federal SE team will be monitoring posts in this forum, as will the headquarters-based Government Solutions team that I lead.

A reminder that this is an open group - anyone can join, and anyone can read it. We considered restricting the group to .gov and .mil email addresses, but considered that a lot of our customers like to use personal email addresses on public forums. So - it goes without saying I think, but anything you post here should be unclassified and suitable for public consumption. If you have a question that we can answer but that isn't appropriate to post here, please feel free to reach out to the Aruba team through private message or email and we can follow up with you.

    Welcome!
