Just starting to dig into CPPM. Looking at Guest access templates and one is Guest Access - Captive Portal and the other option is Guest Access - Web Login. I can't find the nuance betwen the two.

 

Any info would be appreciated.

What are you trying to do?

Setting up a guest acess - internet only wlan. Either click to accept or enter email address. Then whitelist other devices to give them access to other resources. for example our wireless locks will use this wlan and talk to one server on our network to get updates.

So you'll want to use the Guest Device Repository to handle headless device
MAC Authentication with role-based access.



This is a more customized setup so there is no applicable wizard. Have you

Still wondering whateh difference is between Guest Access - Captive portal and Guest Access - Web Login.

Web Login is more for an existing credential scenario (SQL database, LDAP,
AD, etc).
