VisualRF Migration from 6.2 Betas to 6.2.0 and higher

Aruba Employee

If you ran any of the 6.2 beta releases (including 6.2rc4, 6.2.0_beta, 6.2.0_beta1, etc), AND you made changes to the placement of your campuses/buildings in a beta version, you should take the following steps immediately after upgrading to make sure that the locations you have chosen remain intact:

1. Upgrade to 6.2.1 or greater
2. Navigate your browser to https://[amp]/swf/setMigration.swf
3. Click the shiny button.

If you have multiple AMP users, you may want to follow this approach:
1. Disable VisualRF prior to upgrade
2. Proceed with upgrade
3. Enable VisualRF
4. Wait for VisualRF to completely get started
5. Navigate to the setMigration.swf before touching any VisualRF floor plans.

This shortens the window that VisualRF is available in an effort to prevent other users from navigating to the VisualRF page - causing loss of building placements.

Additional setMigration information:
If you see a pop-up:
" Error - Migration status not set! Check server logs and try again. "
This could mean that the VisualRF engine hasn't completely come back online - best thing to do is wait, and make sure no one tries to access the VisualRF page.

The message you want to see will say:
" Ok - Locations Marked as 'migrated' "
