WLSE Error: "Received invalid XML from server."

Aruba Employee

That's the error AMP reports when it doesn't get back valid data from WLSE. Possible causes:

- Improper configuration on AMP, including host, port, and protocol (http/https).

- Special Characters in WLSE Password. This is a known bug in the WLSE. If a WLSE user has special characters (ie !@#$%) in his password, he can't log in to get data from WLSE's XML APIs, which is how AMP gets data from the WLSE.

If you can use a user with just alphanumeric characters in his password that will resolve this. You can contact Cisco support and ask if they have a fix for this problem yet.
