What is the difference between FIPS Build vs Non-FIPS build in Aruba firmware versions?

Applies to all Aruba firmware version.

Functionally there is no difference between non-FIPS build and FIPS build besides restrictions on crypto suites and self-tests on startup.

  • Telnet is disabled on FIPS builds.
  • FIPS does not support MD5. SHA is supported.
