I see that AirWave's install guide covers both VMware and Hyper-V as a host hypervisor for the AirWave virtual appliance.
Given the underlying appliance operating system looks to be RHEL 6.x, I'm assuming that the VirtIO modules are still there.
Either way, A) is this supported and B) has anyone actually done it?

KVM is not officially supported by the support team. You can make a request through the ideas portal for this to be supported in a future release.

Ok, great, thanks for the advice. I've posted a request to the Ideas board here: http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Mobility-Engineer-Checklist/KVM-Hypervisor-Support-for-AirWave-Virtual-Appliance/idi-p/273705
