AirWave virtual appliance support for KVM based systems

    Hello all,

    I see that AirWave's install guide covers both VMware and Hyper-V as a host hypervisor for the AirWave virtual appliance.

     

    Given the underlying appliance operating system looks to be RHEL 6.x, I'm assuming that the VirtIO modules are still there.

     

    Either way, A) is this supported and B) has anyone actually done it?

    KVM is not officially supported by the support team.  You can make a request through the ideas portal for this to be supported in a future release.

    Nope, still a feature request.  We do support VMware and Hyper-V.  And historically, the dev environment used to be KVM - so I imagine it'd work, but support doesn't have a KVM setup to reference if issues arise.

    I haven't heard any changes on this.

     

    You can still run on KVM, support will still assist with issues.  It may just take certain support cases longer if the issues are KVM related (infrastructure and performance - to avoid these, increase the resources allocated to the KVM instance).
