I noticed on Friday that Airwave 8.2.1 is now availabe to download on the support pages.

 

There is no release documentation with it - anyone any idea when this will be published?

Wouldn't you know it - jst got an an advisory email with the release notes - not on the support pages yet though.

Really, the highest version listed is for 8.2.0.3 when I followed that same link.  Way to go Aruba, your documentation fails again.  This is not a resolution nor is this solved.

 The page you linked does not have the release notes posted. See attached. Screenshot taken at 2016 July 05, 09:50.

Under Documentation, Airwave, 8.2.x - there is no release notes for 8.2.1

Nor do they exist at the link shown below. There are only installers.

Yep, its not there. 8.2.0.3 is newest on my login aswell.

Again, the highest version release notes listed there are for 8.2.0.3, not 8.2.1.

Does anyone in the thread still have problems seeing the release notes?

The release notes are not displaying for me as of the time of this post. I was able to review them thanks to attachment on the first page of this thread, but the downloads page does not display them for me.

I fixed permissions on the file so that everyone should be able to see it.

 

Edit: I also did it for the copy of the release notes that sit with the 8.2.1 images under downloads.

I wrote to TAC and they send me the release note. They are aware of the problem so hopefully it will be there soon. Airwave 8.2.2 is now posted but again no release notes available.

No release notes, again!

Seems typical for Aruba Support. The whole model is kludgy. I've had repeated discussions with Aruba on the support issues: heavy reliance on user to user support, fragmented and incomplete documentation, missing documentation, support staff assigned to support calls whose working hours do not match the customers hours, and very poor English skills leading to delayed support and non-relevant responses from support.

Not impressed for what is supposed to be an Enterprise class system and should have Enterprise class support.
