Airwave IAPs Client Blacklisting

Hi All,

I'm currently deploying a customer's AMP-, with IAPs on v6.4.2.6-

We're also using the Instant-GUI-Config in the groups.

Within the Instant GUI config, I can see the manual blacklist options which is fine.

Within the client details I can see the deauth button which is fine.

I can't find an option anywhere to dynamically blacklist a client?

I assume it's not possible???

Kudos appreciated, but I'm not hunting! (ACMX 104)

Re: Airwave IAPs Client Blacklisting

What kind of dynamically blacklisting do you need?

Some types of blacklisting you have in the Instant:

* add a rule on the role which triggers a client blacklist - for x hours

* Dynamic blacklist on auth failure for x hours

You can find triggers for dynamic blacklisting under Security -> Blacklist

Re: Airwave IAPs Client Blacklisting

You know what, I phrased my question really badly.

What I was trying to work out, was whether from within Airwave (which is managing IAPs) you could MANUALLY blacklist a client "on the fly". Like with a controller GUI, where you'd just select the client and hit the "blacklist" button.

I found this old post in Airheads...

However, I've tried the "contain" option mentioned in that post, and it doesn't have any affect on the client. I.e. the client just re-auths.

Re: Airwave IAPs Client Blacklisting

Why wouldn't you navigate to Security -> Blacklisting

Then add an entry there to manually blacklist.

You/we could.

It's just not very "slick" is it? Compared to a one-push button.
