Now that we have our Airwave fairly stable on 8.0.7, we're starting to add more devices to it. We're licensed for 5000 and currently have 4300 devices in the database.  I understand there is a platform limit of 5000. Is this correct, or can we just get more licenses?

That is correct. The max number of devices for a super AMP is 5,000.

That will be changing in version 8.1 if you use the new cluster model.

Thanks as always! Guess I need to keep pushing to be on the beta next go-round for 8.1.

We're currently using a Dell PowerEdge R710 with dual 6-core Xeon 2.67GHz procs, 94 GB RAM, and 400 GB RAID. Can't remember for sure but my colleague things it's RAID 10.

it would have to be raid-10
Good server. Is it monitoring a campus location or hotspots.
I ask because of diskspace reasons
    Thanks!

It was originally purchased for security team to monitor all switches for rogue detection but has been expanded to manage about 1000 Instant clusters, each with about 2 APs.
