Airwave switch's clients problem

  • 1.  Airwave switch's clients problem

    Hi community,

    i have Airwave 8.2.3.1, which i added 1 AP discovered [aruba instant] and 2 switch manually (one is Zyxel and the other an Allied Telesis) with SNMP.
    All of them are up and good (not mismatched or something) but i see only AP's clients.
    Any ideas?

    Do you have any wired clients aswell? Does those clients listing in switch?

    I have at least 5 wired client online (on switch).
    Airwave don't see them on switch's monitor

    Could you try poll the swtich from Aps/Devices> monitor page and check the status?

    May I know the switch model/firmware version?

    If possible I  would recommand to upgrade the server to AMP 8.2.4 and check the status.

    Allied Telesis: AT-GS950/16

    firmware: AT-S79 V2.3.2 [1.1.1.94]
    Zyxel: GS1900-8HP
    firmware: V1.00(AAHI.0)

    Tried to poll, nothing change, polled 7/7.
    For upgrade AMP to 8.2.4 i'll put it this night on download, cause i can't saturate network now.

    Hi,

     

    What option you selected while adding the device manually from Device setup > Add page?

     

    Does Airwave reporting correct model and firmware version in APs/Devices>Monitor page. Checked supported device guide, i dont see support for this model/firmare in Airwave.

     

    I have attached latest AMP 8.2.4 supported guide.

    For adding them i done this:
    Device setup/Add/"router/switch"
    configured ip and snmp.

    It won't show name or other device info, but it shows usage and interfaces.

    I saw that they aren't in supported device, but i try to configured it and  Airwave shows monitoring of usage, maybe it only doesn't support clients?

    Hi,

     

    Airwave proivde limited montioring support for device which does not have support. You could try upgrade the server to AMP 8.2.4 and check but not sure it will list wired clients.

     

    I would recommand to file feature request at Aruba support site and follow up with your accounts team.
