    Dear all,

We are using Airwave to manage our Wi-Fi architecture. We updated in 8.0.8 four days ago and it was working well but today when we tried to connect in Web Access, nothing is displayed.

We are able to access in CLI, so I looked at the service pound :

    [root@ip20 /]# service pound status
    pound is stopped

I tried to restart it and here is the result:

    [root@ip20 /]# service pound restart
    Stopping Pound:                                            [FAILED]
    Starting Pound: starting...
    Enter PEM pass phrase:
                                                               [  OK  ]
    [root@ip20 /]# service pound status
    pound (pid  22765) is running...
    [root@ip20 /]# service pound status
    pound (pid  22765) is running...
    [root@ip20 /]# service pound status
    pound (pid  22765) is running...
    [root@ip20 /]# service pound status
    pound (pid  22765) is running...
    [root@ip20 /]# service pound status
    pound is stopped

As you can see, it stop after few seconds.

I also looked at the process and the result is the following one:

    # wd

    Every 1.0s: daemons Mon May 18 16:31:49 2015

PID PPID PGID %CPU %MEM RSS ELAPSED CMD
    2046 1 2046 0.1 0.1 29004 04:12:04 Daemon::LowLevelServiceWatcher
    2120 1 2119 0.3 0.2 38716 04:11:47 RabbitMQ
    23509 1 23509 93.2 1.1 261328 00:12 httpd_
    2188 1 2060 0.0 0.0 528 04:11:45 msgHandler
    2175 1 2175 0.0 0.1 13576 04:11:46 redis
    1476 1 1476 0.0 0.0 1640 04:14:14 rrdcached

The httpd CPU usage is very high and it stopped after 15 seconds.

Then it restart after 1 minute and stop after 15 seconds

What could be the cause of this problem ?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Thomas

    HI,

It looks like ,we need to do more analysis to diagnose the issue, I advice to open a TAC ticket for this.

Check your disk space (df -h).  There's been a few cases lately where disk space was near 100% which will instantly disable your ability to use the UI.

A few things you can clean up are past upgrade packages (typically seen as *.tar.gz packages in /root), past backups (in /var/airwave-backup - be mindful to keep at least 1 full backup), and past failed backups (in /alternative).

*looks like my email sent me an old post... but the response still stands as a good next step*

Is it possible that the hard disk is full?  What's the output of '#df -h'?

If the disk is full, you'll need to do some cleanup (usually deleting old upgrade tar packages helps)

If the disk isn't full, try to check the main system logs for crashes/errors:

    # /var/log/low_level_service_watcher

    # /var/log/service_watcher
