    Hi folks,

as already mentioned in the subject:
How do you rename a big amount IAPs through airwave?

We've a AMP with nearly 800 IAPs and the device name of each access point is its lan mac address.

Is there a way to (at least semi)auto rename all of them ? Maybe through a csv export/import?

    We're using AMP version 8.2.2.

    Kind regards
    Ed

    No ideas or suggestions?

I can't be the only one with this problem?

I just saw this question (I was searching for something else entirely of course)

From the web-interface, there's always the "click edit, select 'rename' and then retype each AP name as you go" method.

Otherwise you might ask TAC to see if they can come up with a database-admin script which could do it.

Renaming in the html-gui is probably safest.
