    Posted May 16, 2017 05:20 PM

    Hello,

I am trying to import a confuration from a 7205 controller on ArubaOS Version 6.4.3.4 to another controller 7205 running ArubaOS 6.5.2.0-FIPS.

I have it setup with 2 paritions, and have it working just fine on the 6.4.3.4 code, (the same code as the other controller it came from) but I only run into issues trying to load it in the FIPS code.

    #show image version
    ----------------------------------
    Partition               : 0:0 (/dev/usb/flash1) **Default boot**
Software Version        : ArubaOS 6.5.2.0-FIPS (Digitally Signed - Production Build)
    Build number            : 59124
    Label                   : 59124
    Built on                : Fri Apr 7 10:19:05 UTC 2017
    ----------------------------------
    Partition               : 0:1 (/dev/usb/flash2)
Software Version        : ArubaOS 6.4.3.4 (Digitally Signed - Production Build)
    Build number            : 51619
    Label                   : 51619
    Built on                : Thu Sep 10 19:06:31 PDT 2015

    #show boot
    Config File: newdefault.cfg_writemem_2017-05-02_15-37-59

This works fine if I boot into parition 1, but if i boot into partition 0,

it will show (Aruba7205-US) as the hostname, as opposed to the configured hostname.

I also am not able to login to the device, and it's not reachable on the network, even though its the same file.

In addition i also get this issue when i try to reset the password to login.

    (Aruba7205-US) (config) #Mgmt-user admin root
    Password:******
    Re-Type password:******

Error : Non-Compliant to Mgmt Password Policy
Internal error occurred, Password validation failed

Does anyone happen to know if this is even supported?  Or any advise to point in the right direction, so i can run with this further?

    Thanks in Advance,

I tried a write erase all, and I can not load the config on the partition with the 6.5.2.0 version of code. The same symptoms are present.
