Network authentication of the AP via 802.1x certificates

Is it possible to authenticate an AP with a certificate on a Radius server? This is to control network access, keyword portsecurity.

Regards, Markus.

EAP-PEAP is currently the supported method for APs doing dot1x.

Re: Network authentication of the AP via 802.1x certificates

Hi,
thanks for the fast answer.

When I connect the AP to my switch where port security is enable, the AP did not send any dot1x messages. The AP only try a mac-authentication. Is there anything on the AP I have to activate for an dot1x certificate authentication?

Regards,

Markus
