For connected clients in AirWave, at top of diagnostics page, you see the network connection path for that client: client > SSID > AP > switch > etc.  For us, this used to terminate with the Aruba controller and then our core switch as the last two entries.

Two months ago, we had a temporary snafu where a switch had two ports looped on accident.  Now, that access layer switch and its upstream distribution switch show to the right of the core switch in the network path for all connected clients.

How does AirWave generate this path, and is there a way to reset it to clear something like this?  I don't believe it is related to the new Topolgy feature that was introduced in a recent version - we do not have LLDP enabled on all switches, so that map is sparse for us.

The mapping is maintained in the database and is only checked when the device comes back up from a down state.  You should open a support case so that support can set the flag in the db to recheck the status since there's no UI option to trigger the event.

Thanks - which device?  The switch that introduced the loop?  Or something upstream from it?
