VIA Users Not Showing in AirWave

I am with a customer running AirWave 7.5.2 who has VIA users.  The controller and all the wireless users show in AirWave just fine, but there are no VPN/VIA users showing, nor are there any history of any.

A second customer is running 7.6.2 and does see VPN/VIA users. Is this a version compatibility issue or a configuration issue?  I don't recall any VPN/VIA specific settings applied to the one that works.

I'll schedule to have someone in QA doublecheck this behavior.

You do not have to change any settings on AirWave to show VPN/VIA users. Assuming the VIA profiles are configured correctly on the controller, can you possibly get the output of command #show user-table verbose from the controller cli? What version of AOS is the controller on?

Thanks for the info. We had an issue on AOS which was fixed in v6.2.0.0, so your controller is probably fine. Can you check one last thing for me please? From the AirWave server's CLI, could you please run this command?

    [root@localhost mercury]# s2w <controller_ip> <snmp_community_string> 1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.4.1.2.1.3.0.

Depending on what this returns, we may have to open a case with support on debugging this further.

Thanks for the quick response. That's the exact output I was hoping to see, and the oid walk is actually returning VPN user data. I was able to view VPN users in my lab setup (AirWave 7.5.2 and AOS 6.2.0.3), so I suggest you open a support case so this can be debugged further. Out of curiosity, what AOS version is the second customer on?

The one that is working is 6.2.0.2.

The one that is not working is 6.2.0.3

    Thanks; we'll go through TAC.

    Hi Clembo,

Did you ever figure out this issue? I'm just curious as I'm running into the same thing.

    Thanks!
