What is Telnet App for Mac ?

Hello All,

I was wondering what is the best telnet app for Mac (I am running High Sierra) to use to access Aruba switches? I am trying to use Telnet Lite, but it disconnects much too often.

Thanks!!!

Re: What is Telnet App for Mac ?

use the terminal

Matthews-MacBook-Pro-4:~ matthewgosling$ telnet 10.1.1.1

Trying 10.1.1.1...

telnet: connect to address 10.1.1.1: Connection refused

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host

Matthews-MacBook-Pro-4:~ matthewgosling$

I also use SecureCRT, but its not free.

Maybe it is a good moment to abandon telnet and move to SSH for secure remote CLI.

I use iTerm2 on the Mac for that, which could do telnet as well as it is an interface to a local shell on your Mac.

Indeed dont use Telnet, its a old protocol and not secure.

I use the CLI terminal on Mac. Just type:

# ssh hostname -l username
