However when I do this now, the webpage comes back with saying the certificate was revoked. I did used to have to press "proceed anyway" but now that option has disappeared, any ideas?

Long Story short, you can try to get into the controller with a different browser, but you will have to change the Management Certificate afterwords to avoid the revoked certificate issue.
