Our network consists of master switch stack of 2 7210 controllers for redundancy. These manage centralise licensing

We then have over 100 Controllers at seperate sites that all talk to teh Master.

    We are currently running 6.4.2.6

we wish to upgrade all contrlooers, totake advantage of teh Clarity component.

What sequence should i upgrade my controllers

Once I upgrade a controller, it no longer commenicates with the master as the OS dont talk to each other.

    Do I

    1. switch master over to standby
    2. upgrade primary master
    3. stage upgrades to remote controllers
    4. cut back to primary master
    5. upgrade standby master

What sort of user outage can I expect, if any

Is the sequence above sort of ok

Which version of ArubaOS are you upgrading to?

Have you already run Clarity in your lab?

Have you staged the upgrade in your lab?

    I think it is 6.4.3

Short test on one controler which gave us clarity visibility on Airwave 8.2.2.1

Have not staged any upgrade in lab yet as I am putting together the sequence and proposed staging process, before lab testing

It is not easy to tell you how to upgrade 100 controllers on a forum.  I would possibly speak to your local Aruba Sales Engineer to get ideas specific to your deployment.  That person would be able to guide you past any pitfalls or gotchas.  In a perfect world, I would first upgrade the master and backup master at the same time, and then upgrade the rest, but this is not a perfect world.
