DNS resolvers

Here is the scenario:
Users in UK has a RAP terminated in Germany. UK clients got a DNS server IP from Munich. Whenever client does web browsing, like going to Google, search will be resolved to Germany’s home pages.

What’s the workaround?
How can I configure the RAP to redirect non-corporate web sites to local DNS servers or RAP’s outter IP?

It appears that RAP can intercept some of the addresses, like ...
$ ping rapconsole.arubanetworks.com
PING rapconsole.arubanetworks.com (192.168.1.6): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.1.6: icmp_seq=0 ttl=63 time=0.688 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.6: icmp_seq=1 ttl=63 time=0.708 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.6: icmp_seq=2 ttl=63 time=0.750 ms
^C

Would any of you have any suggestions, so that the RAP deployment can be more transparent in different countries?

Thank you!

Corporate DNS Domain

Meesick,

There is a "Corporate DNS domain" parameter in the AP system profile. If you enter your domain in this field, (meesick.com), for split-tunneled clients, only requests that end in "meesick.com" will be tunneled back to your DNS server. Any other request will be sent to the DNS server received by the physical AP and then delivered to the client.

That might be what you are looking for.

Perfect! I will get this tested out tomorrow.
