In previous versions, when using the "show user-table" to determine the mac address of a client connected directly to a RAP port, it would either show authenticated or denied, depending on whether the MAC Address was added to the WLAN controller internal DB. RAP AAA profile is configured with the default-mac-auth profile. Came across a situtaion where on 6.3.1.8, the show user-table output doesn't show the client if in a denied state, but will show if in a authenticated state. Had to use the show ap wired stats to obtain the MAC Address.

    tmarques,

Did the client get an ip address?  If it did not, that could be why it is not in the user table.

It did not, but in the past (when on code 6.1.x.x) I believe I recall that it would show up in the user-table without an IP Address with role "denied".
