    Hi everyone,

We have about 30 apple tv in a school on a Aruba infrastructure. The Apple TV are connected wired to Aruba switches in tunnel mode. The students use iPads connected to APs with aruba controller. Do you know a way to monitor the active sessions for Airplay? The problem is that students left class without disconnected from the Apple TV. This done that the apple tv is not usable unless it's reboot the apple tv using the remote. The remote was not accessible for student.

    Do you have any idea?

You could try a aaa user delete on the AppleTV to drop it from the network and have it reconnect. I would assume that this would drop the mirror session.

Unfortunately, airgroup does NOT monitor active sessions to Apple TVs.  Does the student leave the device in the room still  connected, or do they walk away with it connected?  It is possible that if you use location-based Airgroup that the user will be disconnected when they go out of range.  This requires ClearPass..
