Allow guest self-registration during certain hours of the day

    Hi

     

    We need to create a guest service in Clearpass to provide self-registration only during certain hours of the day. We don't know if it is possible to broadcast the SSID only during that time or it is better to show web self-registration some hours and a "disabled WiFi service" web the rest of the day.

     

    For example:

    In Aruba controller:

    - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM - Broadcast SSID

    - 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM - Not broadcast SSID

    or

    In Clearpass:

    - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM - Allow guest self-registration web

    - 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM - "Disabled WiFi service" web

    i don't believe you can enable / disable the whole SSID currently without external scripting.

     

    so the ClearPass route seems the way to go, post above shows how.
