The monitoring from the disk usage shows that with ouer 1500 concurrent session we do never use 1TB disk space. Can we reduce the disk space from the VM to 500GB? If yes how to do this in the right way.

    Any help welcome.

    Many thanks,

You could backup the config, certificates, etc, create a new VM with 500GB of storage then import the config etc.

1TB is the recommended disk space for new deployments on cp-va-5k though.

    Cheers

James is correct but remember you must follow the VM guidelines for a production CPPM install. If it was a lab then you could run under the specs.

    Hi James,

thanks for your answer. Do you now where to find maybe a document that explain in detail which config, certificates, need to be backed up? I would like to test this in a lab environement.

    Many thanks,

    JP

    Hi,

This is the process you should follow to backup ClearPass. I believe this backs up config, certificates, guest users & endpoints.

I'd recommend backing up certificates separately though.

Also make sure you've got a copy of your subscription key and licences.

When you restore, create a CPPM VM with the same IP, add licence/sub key, import config, re-join to domain (if applicable).
