Cannot add subscriber to CPPM cluster

    Hi all,

     

    I'm trying to test a simple CPPM HA with two CPPM nodes on the same subnet (10.199.0.188 & 10.199.0.189). When making one node as a subscriber, I had this error:

    FYI, these are VM nodes and I have cloned one node (10.199.0.189) from an existing one (10.199.0.188) to use in this lab (already changed the cloned node's UUID to eliminate issue with duplicate UUID). I'm not sure why it still failed, as they also have reachability to each other, and their time are synced.

     

    Please help me on this case. Thank you all very much.

    Hi all,

     

    Actually, I missed some logs. The complete failed log was as follow:

     

    ERROR - 10.199.0.188: - Adding subscriber with management
    IP=10.199.0.189 failed. Node is already registered in the cluster with management IP=10.199.0.188
    ERROR - 10.199.0.188: - Adding subscriber node entry failed.
    Host=cppm02-hcm Management IP=10.199.0.189
    ERROR - Adding entry to publisher failed
    ERROR - Check that publisher is accessible and the password is correct
    ERROR - Verify that publisher runs the same software version as this
    node
    ERROR - Verify that publisher does not contain a duplicate entry for
    this node

     

    Is this problem only associated with duplicate UUID? Or is there any other reasons? Since the UUIDs of two VM nodes are already differentuuid.PNG

    Have you found the solution to this yet as im having the same issue.

     

    Also two vm's, same subnet, also cloned.

    Is the clone the issue? ie the UUID is the same on both nodes?

    If you use 6.8. Please download the self signed certificates and upload them in the other unit before pairing.

    I also faced the same issue while building CPPM on cluster, later I fixed it. 

    issue: FIPS seems to be enabled on one of the CPPM which is a showstopper. After disabling it works.
