I just installed a new local controller. On that controller any clients connecting via 802.1x have no issues, however non can connect via captive portal.

On the client I get "Auth server is out of service" and on the controller I get "No server available for AAA client type Web"

I have no such issue on the master controller

    I am on version 6.1.2.8

    Thanks

What type of authentication server is this? (radius/ldap)

Login to the gui of the LDAP, server.  Go to the diagnostics tab and use the AAA test server function to test the authentication server you are using.

    LDAP

I figured out the issue. LDAP servers were in different subnet, and I never set the default gateway on the controller.
