    Hi there,

     

    We've been asked by our Events department if they can have it setup so that when new people visit the building, they can put in their e-mail address, name etc. to register on the first page that pops-up when you connect to the guest SSID.  At the moment, they have to click the link "Need an account?" where they are taken to a second page.

     

    Is it possible to setup the initial page to allow input of registration details to streamline the process very slightly?

    Depending on your WLAN controller, you change the Captive Portal redirect page to the registration page in ClearPass instead of the Guest Login page...

    We're using a Aruba 7030 controller.

     

    Ours is pointing to http://x.x.x.x/guest/guest_register_login.php (as below) - what would we point it to instead?

    You replace that with the link for self-registration; whatever that link is.

    You did say that there is a link for self-registration.  Open the HTML on that page and find out what the link URL is and replace the current link with that.

    Can't test 'til tomorrow unfortunately as an Event is taking place as we speak but we'll give it a go tomorrow and come back to you.
