ClearPass Guest License Clarification

    Do either of the following scenarios consume ClearPass Guest licenses?

     

    1) Device Registration (MACTrac)

     

    2) Web Login using AD accounts

    No. They would consume base CPPM licenses per unique MAC.

    I have a 500 guest license limit.  When i look in AirWave I am seeing 1000+ users on my guest network.  Is the 500 a hard number?  If I understand your answer to this post.  I am only seeing all of the the attempts to get on the guest network.  P.S.  I am a large k12 and the kids are trying I hope to get on.

    It doesn't cut you off. It uses a 7 day rolling average. Check the licensing screen in ClearPass to see what your daily guest counts are at.
